Edward Fahnbulleh is a co-founder of FUEL Youth and a Liberian citizen who currently lives and works in Washington, D.C.. It was Edward’s vision for education across Liberia that inspired the inception of FUEL Youth. Edward is particularly passionate about early childhood education. By the end of 2013, Edward is planning to return to Liberia and serve as FUEL Youth Program Director in Liberia.
Sean O’Connor serves as the Executive Director of FUEL Youth. By day, Sean works for National Geographic’s Education Programs, working to build geographic education around the U.S. and the globe. Sean has a master’s degree from Georgetown University in Communications, Culture, and Technology.
Katie Yocum Musisi is a director and co-founder of FUEL Youth. Katie brings a background in nonprofit, communications and coalition-building work to the organization. She can’t get enough of Liberia’s natural beauty and vibrant culture, and she is on a mission to grow FUEL Youth. By day, Katie works in rural development for the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
Christine Shepherd is a director and co-founder of FUEL Youth. Christine brings a background in business and international development to the organization. She is inspired by the vision of Eddie Fahnbulleh and would like to make that vision a reality by developing proper school environments for Liberian youth. Christine works on infrastructure development issues at the World Bank and has a MBA from HEC Paris and a Masters from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts.
Alison Yocum is a director for FUEL Youth. She brings a passion for and knowledge of education to the organization. She believes that all children – no matter their country, city, or neighborhood of origin – are entitled to a quality education. By day, Alison is a public school teacher.
Michael Raab is a director and co-founder of FUEL Youth. Michael has a strong background in education and education technology having worked for the last 7 years at Blackboard (a global leader in education technology). His current role is as Channel Sales Operations Manager which gives him insight into education needs globally.
